2011 Event - Combined drivers from across America with aspirations of making a coveted spot on the 2011 driving team to compete for America have converged at the beautiful location of the Little Everglades Ranch in rural Dade City, Florida to demonstrate their skills in dressage, cross country and the final phase, cones, hoping to gain important points for the final selection. But it is not just at the high performance level where the focus on the sport is, but also in the surge of entries at the preliminary and intermediate levels who are gathered together this weekend to enjoy their sport at one of the finest facilities in America and to compete at a world class event. 2010 Event - In January of the year 2010, the Little Everglades International Combined Driving Event made its debut here at the Little Everglades Ranch. We are so excited to be part of the Driving Community and to be working with such successful people as Chester Weber and Susan Gilliland of Live Oak Combined Driving Institute in Ocala, Florida.A combined Driving Event is modeled after the Three Day Event, which test the overall condition and versatility of the horse in sport. A Combined Driving Event is usually held over three days and consists of four disciplines. The winner is the entry who accumulates the fewest penalty points. Divisions are Single Horse, Pairs, Multiples, and VSE (Various Small Equines). They can show in Training, Preliminary, Intermediate, and Advance Levels.(Courtesy of HorsesDaily.com)
